AccessAbility Advantage (A+) Consulting Project, Milton District Hospital (MDH), Reaches Substantial Completion

May 11th, 2017

A substantial consulting project that began in 2014, Milton District Hospital represented an opportunity for A+ to assist in serving the rapidly growing population of Milton for years to come.

The client’s goal was to create a hospital expansion that could serve all patients, regardless of their age or ability. A+ acted as the accessibility consultant throughout the various phases of this Public Private Partnership (P3s) project. As a member of the Plenary Health Team, A+ worked closely with PCL, B+H Architects and RTKL Associates from the competition phase right to the final construction. The A+ team provided numerous hours of accessibility consulting, drawing reviews at each design phase and completed site visits to ensure a high level of accessibility is provided at the new MDH.

The hospital is expected to begin providing patient care services in the new space in the fall of 2017.
